English version

As soon as we are sitting on the bike, it stats to rain and it doesn’t stop for the rest of the day. Sometimes heavier, sometimes lighter, but humid to wet all the time. And heavy is also the traffic on the road from Ruse to Silistra, but it gets less and less as we realize that we are somehow approaching the end of Bulgaria. “Flat and Boring” won’t be continued, the road climbs up to a plateau at about 100 m above sea level. Small valleys cut through this plateau, which means that it gets hilly, a landscape that must be nice to look at if you feel like looking at it. We don’t, we are hiding behind our handlebars.

And then an unexpected turn in our tour. At 15 km from Silistra we learn that we are needed and we have to return to Vienna immediately. The rest of the evening is dedicated to organizing the return trip to Vienna, which means that we have not seen much of Silistra.
